A game that has been long forgotten...

Hey guys, duck again, and im going to talk about a game that has been long forgotten (will be made into a new page.) Battalion wars!
I for one, have LOVED these games, they were so fun to play as a kid for the gamecube, and now on the wii! (Battalion wars 2.)
First off, i will talk about the factions in the game, which are pretty humorous at that :

Western Frontier : These guys represent the united states. Armed with there h-16s, these soldiers are most patriotic to their country!

Tundran Territories : These guys represent the soviet union, wearing heavy red winter jackets, and the widely used KA-47s these guys pack a punch in the snow!

Solar Empire : These guys represent a sort of futuristic Japan. Armed with an all plasma based weapon system, these guys kick butt! (Some say the gun looks like a halo assault rifle!)

Anglo Isles : These guys represent a world war era England. Dressed in afican brigade clothing. (Tommy boy helmets tan shorts ect.) They carry the Rensfield 44 Assault rifle and can really pack a punch for good ol' great Anglo!

Xlvaniya : These are the first bad guys in the game, they represent nazi germany, which is ironic, considering how all their units are dressed in nazi uniforms, and are portrayed as demons (eyes and faces) throughout the series. They all have Z.Z. on their helmets, an obvious reference to the nazi S.S. brigade.

And finally, we are going to end our factions with...
Iron Legion : These people are like a pre-Xlvaniya, even more demon like. They almost took over the world, until the solar empire destroyed them! Or took over for themselves...

This is a great game 5/5. Defiantly should buy it!
 bye - duck.

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Revealed

The fourth World of Warcraft expansion set, Mists of Pandaria, has been unveiled! Shrouded in fog since the world was sundered more than ten thousand years ago, the ancient realm of Pandaria has remained unspoiled by war. Its lush forests and cloud-ringed mountains are home to a complex ecosystem of indigenous races and exotic creatures -- including the noble and enigmatic pandaren. Will the mists of Pandaria part to reveal the world's salvation… or will the battle to control this new land push the Horde and the Alliance over the brink of war and into total annihilation?
In Mists of Pandaria, players will be able to explore an all-new continent while reaching new heights of power on their way to an increased level cap of 90. In addition, adventurers can choose whether to side with the Horde or the Alliance as World of Warcraft’s first neutral race -- the pandaren -- and master the ways of Pandaria’s ancient martial arts as the all-new monk class.

Mass effect 3 Multiplayer?!

I for one am outright infuriated, frustrated, and livid that BioWare jumped onto the multiplayer bandwagon. I'm sick and tired of just about everyone saying that for a game to considered good, it has to have multiplayer. Fallout doesn't, same thing with Dragon Age, although this will probably change, and yet they are great games. I don't care what form of multiplayer it will be, a full on combat style player, co-op, or whatever, Mass Effect was a great single player game and I see no valid reason for BioWare to abandon a pure single player game and incorporate multiplayer. The only thing that comes to mind is that they caved to peer pressure and jumped onto a wagon where they have to compete with games like Reach and Gears. This doesn't make sense to me and I doubt it ever will. Seriously, how many people bought Reach for the campaign?
Making a multiplayer aspect for a game is significantly harder than making a single player game and if I find that BioWare in any way comprised the single player aspect, or cut part of the campaign to accommodate multiplayer, or [shudder] forces us to play co-op to get the whole story, then I may seriously rethink about buying BioWare games in the future. A game doesn't have to incorporate multiplayer to be a great game, as single player games are great and really shows how much you can put into a game, IMO. Adding multiplayer in any form makes the game more complicated and forces you to compromise your single player aspect to incorporate it. Even if it completely independent of the campaign.
I personally think that BioWare has made a grave mistake and one that will come back to haunt them. I also personally think that if a game has been single player, then it switches to multiplayer all of a sudden, then something, usually the single player aspect, will get compromised, things will get cut, and players will not have the same experience if the game was just released as a single player element.
So this may have been a rant, but I'm getting sick and tired of seeing great series try and incorporate multiplayer and then botching it. Or series that rely on multiplayer to make or break their games. People, multiplayer doesn't have to be a part of your game. You can still see your game get high ratings without it. It's not a required element. I seriously think that BioWare is going to regret this decision and I think the only reason it was made was them bowing to the peer pressure from the rest of the industry. This is my opinion, so take it how you will.
As I posted this, I saw that we have co-op missions. I already made the statement above, but if we are forced to play them, i.e. no way to play them in single player, even if they aren't critical to the story, then I will be even more livid.
I again state that BioWare has made a mistake and is only bowing to peer pressure. With the new information, I firmly believe that the single player campaign has been/was compromised in some way to accommodate this and that is something that I cannot, and WILL NOT tolerate. The single player campaign is what Mass Effect is about, and every time I have seen single player games go to multiplayer in any form, then the single player aspect suffers. The only way that I can see BioWare salvaging this, IMO, is to make them playable on single player and if they are buggy, poorly constructed, or don't share the same detail as Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, and put the rest of the campaign into that one, then I will be severely disappointed and furious.

Halo Reach Just the new Halo combat evolved?

It seems to me that halo reach is going down the drain, fast. 343 Industries are in way over their heads on this new "TU Beta" (Title Update) Playlist, which if you don't know, brings back classic and memorable halo features such as ; No blooming, no falling damage, shield-health leaking, and who could ever forget the good ol' Super Sniping magnum. But that's where the problem is. Ordinary, the magnum would do 4 shots anywhere, 1 head shot. But that's not the case anymore, it's now 3 direct head shots in a row and then they die! And considering that the magnum is about as fully automatic as the one in halo ODST, plus the no blooming, it just might be to over powered!
This might give noobs (new players to the game) a new way of winning the game by dumb luck ; constant head shots, while pressing their trigger like there is no tomorrow! We all then know, that this "noob" will win, just by the magnum, being able to outgun anything, even the rocket launcher, will be a complete mess-up and will just make halo reach another laughing stock of a game.
Not to mention the releases of Halo Anniversary, (Pretty just a halo reach multiplayer on different maps.) Just around the corner, and Halo 4 knocking on the door, what can we expect of those games? Can we expect good graphics? Yes. Beautiful story lines? Yes. Fair but fun competitive gameplay? I think not.
What do you think? Put it in the comments section.

Action Figure Awesomeness!

Hey, it's my first blog and, this is about great childhood items.
So, i have a vast collection of halo action figures, and plastic army men.
In intervals of 2 days, i will update this blog and i will be talking about the figures individually.

10/6/11
-Pink air assault-
I like this figure, not just because it was first female figure, but because of how great it is! Sadly, the articulation on all of the joints except the legs and the chest seem to malfunction. They swivel all around the place and they just barley stay still. Another problem are the shoulders. You cannot put in any shoulder pads into the figure!
But these flaws can be over looked considering its paint job, and its the first female. (excluding Kat of couse) I defiantly recommend this figure to be purchased. She is a real beautiful figure. I did some personal modifications to the figure, which can be viewed on my youtube linked below. I gave it, an E.V.A helmet, which i also painted pink. The only problem are the shoulders. You cannot put in any shoulder pads into the figure! That is the one problem with this figure.

Paint Job : 5/5
Customization : 3/5
Articulation : 4/5
Coolness : 5/5
Overall Rating : 17/20
